MALEIC ACID ROSIN
Rosin, soluble in low aromatic solvents obtained from maleic anhydride additives and polyhydric alcohols, has almost no odor, a high softening point, and good compatibility with various polymers. It is mainly used for lacquer coating, special coating, thermoplastic application, and is also used as a tire and rubber processing additive.
Maleic modified rosin ester made for ink and nitrocellulose lacquer systems that have low aromatic solvents. Benefits of using the resin include higher gloss, adhesion and hardness. Filtrez™ 339 A is used in flexographic and gravure inks and coatings.
